Charlesgate offer a full design and build service, doing everything from small bespoke carpentry to full house builds. As such they have some gorgeous images of the things they’ve made over the years. We did the branding and full website build for Charlesgate back in 2023, focusing on a clean portfolio site that maximises their photographic content.

I’ve always liked the branding on this one, I think Sean did a great job. I mean, he always does bless him, but the interlocking CG motif with the accent colours is particularly nice.

We did some solid SEO work on this one too, with the individual project pages dialled in to specific areas of Berkhamsted and the surrounding Hertfordshire area. They’ve done so much work in the Home Counties, it’s only right that their work be ranked as such. The site performs very well on search engines, and mobiles of course.

The site structure itself is another example of an Underscores customisation, with Revolution Slider for the paginated gallery boxes, and WP Bakery for the individual page templates.

There’s a pretty smooth execution of the classic Isotope jquery on the projects page too.

All updates done to this site since it was built have been included as part of their Managed Hosting Service.
